These projects were part of my introduction to computer aided design (CAD) class. These include both the Dorm Furniture Project and the Artifact Dissection Project.
For the Dorm Furniture Project, my group was tasked with designing a new line of entertainment/desk/living units for college students. The goal was to create a design concept with greater aesthetic appeal and versatility than currently available alternatives. One of the things my team kept in mind were modularity and the ease of assembly.
For the Artifact Dissection Project, my group had to reverse engineer an existing product. My team had the chance to choose one artifact, dissect it, measure its dimensions, and then put it back together/model it using SOLIDWORKS.
